About this race
Event Overview
Join us for the CASA Superhero 5K fun run/walk and 10K run through historic Leavenworth, KS, followed by a kids' superhero race (100 yards).
About CASA
The CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) concept is based on the belief that every child has the right to a safe, permanent home. Unlike attorneys and social workers, the CASA volunteer speaks exclusively for the child's best interests.
- Focus: CASA volunteers handle only one or two cases at a time.
- Thorough Investigation: Volunteers explore each case's history thoroughly by talking with the child, parents, family members, and others involved in the child's life.
- Documentation: They review all records and documents about the child.
- Reporting: Volunteers submit formal reports to the court recommending appropriate placements for the child.
Entry Fees
- Adult Registration: $35 through September 4th.
- Late Registration: $45 from September 5 through Race Day.
- Children's Registration: Superhero run (kids 12 & under): $10.
