🎖️ Race Features

• Commemorative Medal: All half marathon participants will receive a finisher's medal similar to last year's popular design.
• Participant Gear: Both 5K and half marathon participants will receive a $34 Sweatvac Hi-Tech colorful long-sleeved shirt, free digital race photos, and admission to the FREE August 7th Fratelli's pre-race pizza party.
• Kid's Dash: Participants will receive a medal.

🚶‍♀️ Walker-Friendly Events

• Start Time: There is a 6 AM start for those wishing to take their time on the challenging half-marathon course.
• Chip Time: Participants will receive a chip time and finisher's medal.
• Award Eligibility: Note that while you will receive a medal, you will not be eligible for age division awards.
• Walking Encouraged: Heed the race director's advice and power walk if from lower elevations to make up time over the rest of the course.

🏞️ Course Information

• Course Description: The course starts at Thorpe Park and climbs the steep urban trail onto Observatory Mesa, with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Peaks.
• Elevation: Elevations range between 6957 ft at the start to 7731 ft near the 7.5 mile mark.
• Initial Climb: Most of the climbing is accomplished over the first 1.25 miles, so it’s important to pace yourself.
• Proceeds: ALL proceeds benefit BBBSF Mentoring Programs, which create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
