Race Description

• Established Race: Join Flagstaff's oldest race and the 2nd oldest half marathon in Arizona, sponsored by Kinney.
• Finisher Medals: Half marathon participants receive a commemorative finisher's medal honoring Route 66's 100th anniversary.
• Race Perks: Participants will receive a $34 Sweatvac Hi-Tech long-sleeved shirt, free digital race photos, and admission to the FREE August 7th Fratelli's pre-race pizza party.
• Kid's Dash: Participants will receive a medal.

Walker-Friendly Event

• Start Time: Those who wish to take their time on the half-marathon course may start at 6 AM.
• Chip Time: All participants will receive a chip time and finisher's medal but will not be eligible for age division awards.
• No Dogs: For safety reasons, dogs are not allowed on the course during the race.
• Elevation Advice: If from lower elevations, heed the race director's advice and power walk.

Course Details

• Course Description: Starts at Thorpe Park, climbs onto Observatory Mesa with scenic views of the San Francisco Peaks.
• Elevation: Ranges from 6957 ft at the start to 7731 ft near the 7.5 mile mark.
• Climbing: Most climbing occurs over the first 1.25 miles: pacing is essential.
• 5K Course: The 5K is also held on Observatory Mesa.

Additional Information

• Fundraiser: New this year, a split-the-pot fundraiser will be hosted.
• Flagstaff Running Series: Part of the 22nd annual Flagstaff Running Series: register before June 14th for package savings here.
• Stroller Policy: Absolutely no dogs or strollers are allowed during the race.
